Arrival Story:
Crickette is the last of my breedings. I selected her as a trouble shooting puppy with an indominable spirit. Since birth she was prepared for a life of a "Service Dog". She is now 10 1/2 yrs. old and still serving me as my companion and partner. She is a two time decorated "Hereo", 1st for alerting to an elderly neighbor having a stroke and 2nd for rescuing me while I had gone into respiritoy arrest by lunging onto my back after I had had a siezure. When she jumped on my back, it forced the air out from the bottom of my lungs just like a chest compression! I then began to breath on my own again. Crickette has been recognized as the 1st "Canine" Hometown Hero" by the American Red Cross in 1995. She has also been recognized by the A.K.C. as an "Award of Excellence" winner. She has many achievement awards as well as a citation from the president of the senate. Crickette is an outstanding Service Dog but, I wouldn't love her any less even if all she had ever done was to be my loving Akita!!!
