alot has changed

my mom hasnt been herself at all since her dad got sick again and ended passing away. she has been desperately trying to find ways to get me to stop chewing on my feet and helping my coat become less course. she works so much and spends her evenings with me laying on her lap and throwing the ball for my sis mystic. my sis rose loves to sit on her hips. mom is quiet but easily tempered lately-i hope she finds a way to get back to herself soon. we all miss her so. she cant paly as much as she use to b/c her neck and back are always in spasm-but she always tries to find a way to show us all how much we mean to her.
our cousin peanut (the little dog on santas lap in one of our pictures) also passed away the day after grandpa did. like isnt the same the last few months especially. "everything is in limbo" mom says: what does that mean? does that mean its on hold??? b/c the warmer weather is here and i miss our walks...

my mommys alarm clock

just a funny tid bit-my mom doesnt sleep in all that much. she usually gets up with dad at 5 am or else will sleep in until about 8 or so on the days that she works late. but-i have found that if she cant quite get up the energy to crawl out of bed right away, she moves alot faster when her toes are being nibbled on.

i was giddy the other morning and tried getting her up to play by sticking my nose in her face and pawing at her back but it wasnt working. she kept crawling down further into the covers. so while walking around to pick on my sisters i noticed feet hanging out. grabbed ahold of them and --oohh, they move! so i kept at it. mom was up in no time and was smiles for the rest of the day when she would think of how i "coaxed" her out of bed.

so give it a try sometime-all you puppies out there! wouldnt suggest doing it to daddys tho-they tend to not be so cheerful in the morning hours.

what will taday bring?

yesturday was quite busy. my mom and dad took all of us for a very long walk thru the woods along this old railroad bed. mystic was allowed off leash for awhile and led the way. rose walked with daddy and with our human brother while i mostly walked with mom. shes so understanding and patient with me.

dady is too, just dif. is all. hes obviously the man of the house while mom has the more tender voice. the walk was so long i was lagging behind by the time we came back to the car. mom kept clicking tho-making sure i knew where to be.

when we got back to the house all three of us crashed while our humans went swimming. by the time they got back we ready to go out and play in the back yard.
i wonder what today will bring...mommy works and daddy is taking little man somewhere for awhile. i will probably just kick back and wait for my mommy. my sisters love and dance for her but noone adores mom like i do...
