Central Park in the AM, dog runs in the PM - wherever there are dogs to play with...

"Shake your booty" - when we say it, she shakes her behind nonstop!
Arrival Story:
We've been looking to adopt a 2nd dog to keep Ben company for a while. We had hoped for an adult or a senior dog but for whatever reason, none of the rescue groups we contacted got back to us. So we decided to try for younger dogs, saw Maymay on Petfinder, sent in an application and the group that had Maymay actually got back to us to our surprise. So we went to visit her on 12/18/2004 and brought her home that same afternoon....
Bio:
She was rescued by 11th Hour Rescue from a Georgia kill shelter... She was a gas chamber rescue! But now, she's a chic NYC dog with all the food she needs, all the love/attention she wants.. and of course, all the discipline training she never expected....She's definitely NOT a smart dog but she's very adorable & to some degree, we love her for being so blond!

First, there was just Ben. I, of course, had the 2nd child syndrome. I swear, mommy loves Ben more!!!! He always comes first!
Then, there was Ruby.... dude, b/w Ben and Ru, I never get any attention...
so my solution to that is: whenever mom calls any names, even if it's daddy's name, I show up in front of her face. I shake my butt and ask to be hugged.........

Wondering why I am officially the walking worm encyclopedia?? Before I get into it, I just wanted to bark a big thank you to my mommy - who has shown unconditional love for me since I arrived at this family back in Dec - wolf wolf wolf wolf wolf wolf (translation: mommy, thank you...)
So after the tape worm incident on 1/1/2005 (which was exactly 16 days after I got to my new home! v. embarrassing indeed), life has been sort of a smooth sailing except last week, I started having major major upset stomach. Mom, obviously, took me to the vet. To her utter surprise, I got hook worms this time!! How? don't ask me... why? don't ask me... All I know is, I've only been in NYC for 6 months! My brother has been here for his entire life and he never even once got a flee on him. No flee, no ticks, no major illness... me, on the other hand, all sorts of unimaginable worms. I feel bad for my mommy. I have to say, for a true New Yorker who considers Central Park "outdoor", she's been handling it with grace.......I love you mommy.....

Today marks my 8th month birthday! and the 2nd months in my new home =) Even though it's a psudo-birthday-date since we have no idea exactly when I was borned, we still celebrated my birthday this morning =) Mom took me and my old bro out to the park for an hour. I ran and ran and ran to my heart's content - not to mention amongst the $20M ugly orange gates that's supposedly an art exhibition! dude, give the $ to the Tsunami victims! or better yet, give the $ to the needy shelter animals!!!!! And we got big greenies before mom left for work.....oh... I'm so happy today... =) wait, I'm happy every day!!!
