Best Friends Animal Society has introduced the next level in pet-centric lodging with the opening of its Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile. Not only does the Roadhouse and Mercantile cater to the traveling public in search of pet-friendly accommodations, it fully supports the lifesaving work of Best Friends Animal Society.
The Roadhouse was designed by Salt Lake City architects Wow Atelier and interior designer Jillian Kliewer, and is located among the famous red rocks of Kanab, Utah. The Roadhouse offers travelers and their pets 30 regular rooms and 10 suites, including two two-level suites, all with pet-thoughtful amenities like durable fabrics and sleeping areas with pet mattresses, as well as complimentary washing stations, a fenced-in pet-park area with water features, along with pet walking and sitting services. Two of the rooms are specifically designed to accommodate cats.
The Mercantile offers Best Friends and Roadhouse branded merchandise in a spacious setting that also provides a comfortable common area for guests. Complimentary shuttle transportation is available to and from the organization’s nearby animal sanctuary and will also offer organized Best Friends member and volunteer activities, as well as pet sleepovers.
Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile is located in the picturesque little city of Kanab and serves as an ideal base camp for day trips to Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon National Parks and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Learn more at bestfriendsroadhouse.com.
