Dog Holidays: Monthly & Daily Celebrations

As dog owners, we know how important it is to involve our beloved pets in the major holidays spread throughout the year. We buy them costumes for Halloween and get them a heart-shaped box of dog-safe treats for Valentine’s Day, but there’s no reason we can’t celebrate them all year long.

There are many different dog-related holidays spread throughout the year. Some are downright silly, like National Dress Up Your Pet Day (January 14), while others are meant to raise awareness about our pet’s health and the care they require, such as Pet Dental Health Month (February). Read on to find a comprehensive list of all the dog holidays you need to know about. Make sure you have a pen on hand to keep track of the dates so you can commemorate them as they come.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are plenty of reasons to honor your pup this year, so make sure you write down the days of some of the holidays and keep track of them in your calendar. Celebrating your dog doesn’t have to be reserved for just one day, though. We here at Dogster believe that every day is a good day to acknowledge the very good boys and girls who have a piece of our hearts.
