At the all-girls’ high school I attended in Manila, I had good number of South Korean classmates and they had a LOT of really cute animal-themed knick-knacks decorating their bags and binders, and dangling from their cell phones. (Did South Koreans invent cell phone charms? It wouldn’t shock me!)
So I wasn’t surprised when Dogster Community Manager Lori Malm came back from a recent vacation and told me the Seoul Incheon Airport had some of the coolest shops she’d ever seen on a stopover. One store in particular reminded her of me — probably because I like hoarding dog-themed everything — a luxury brand called Hazzys (and here I resist the urge to add an apostrophe to that “s”) that features an English Pointer named Edward as its logo.
She considered buying one of the beautiful bags but flinched at the $300 price tags, and instead settled on the keychain you see above as a souvenir. And then, she did something crazy nice: She gave it to me! (Eee!) I smile at it every time I fish for my wallet, where it’s anchored to a zipper pull.
Her gift sparked a new obsession, and we spent part of an afternoon trading links to various Hazzys items back and forth over the office IM. You can’t tell us it’s not for work! Here are some of my favorites:
The Union Puppy leather tote (pictured above) tops my wish list. It comes in tan and pink (pictured in the fashion spread below) and if you want to know what it costs, you’re free to translate the won into dollars on this page — but warning: This will just depress you.
A lot of Hazzys’ designs, including this small check tote (see below), feature a large cut-out of Edward the Pointer on a keychain.

The brand, like many others, has London on the brain, and it brings a slice of traditional British style to its Korean audience. From what we can tell, Hazzys isn’t yet sold outside South Korea, but many of the photos in the “magazine” area of its website feature English models. (The same can be said for the Hazzys commercials on its YouTube channel.)
Obsessed yet? Fear not for your pocketbook, as it’s pretty much impossible to get your hands on Hazzys outside South Korea unless you know someone who can translate the sales page of its website for you (Google Translate is rather useless — I tried!).
