That is why it is surprising that Miami has multiple amazing dog-friendly beaches. The dog-friendly beaches in Miami are some of the nicest dog beaches found anywhere in the Southeastern United States and feature some truly jaw-dropping views and top-notch amenities. If you are looking for somewhere to sunbathe, spend some time with your dog, and soak up some of the best views in the area, then these are the places that you need to check out.

1. Miami Beach Walk

️ Address:Miami, Beachwalk, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Off-Leash:No
  • Beautiful, paved trail along some of the best beaches in the world
  • Plenty of room to walk your dog and enjoy the outdoors
  • Not all sections of the adjacent beach are dog-friendly, so be careful
  • Be mindful of your dog’s paws on hot days, so they do not burn on the pavement
  • Keep your dog on a leash while on the path and watch for bikes and crowds, which are common

2. Haulover Beach Park

️ Address:10800 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33154
Hours:8 AM - 6:30 PM
Cost:Free admission, paid parking
Off-Leash:Yes, in marked area
  • Located north of Miami Beach
  • Bark beach is located on the property with generous off-leash hours
  • Admission is free, but parking is $5 during the week and $7 on the weekend
  • Parking can fill up fast during peak season so go early if you want a spot
  • Plenty to do and see nearby if the beach gets too crowded for your puppy

3. North Beach Oceanside Park

Off-Leash:Yes, in marked areas
  • A complete park with a beach, pavilions, restrooms, trails, benches, and enclosed doggy play areas
  • Stunning ocean views, especially at sunrise
  • Nearby parking is available, but the area is often congested, so pack your patience
  • Not much within walking distance other than hotels and more beach
  • Days can be long and hot, and traffic can be terrible, so bring everything your dog needs for a potentially long and hot day

4. Hobie Island Beach Park

Cost:Free
Off-Leash:Yes
  • A little bit out of the way but the views are worth it
  • Panoramic views of the Miami skyline and Key Biscayne
  • Beautiful beach that is a ton of fun for dogs
  • Some really nice restaurants nearby
  • Parking can be limited, and getting off the causeway can be difficult for visitors

5. South Pointe Park

Off-Leash:Yes. Sunrise - 10 AM and 4:30 PM - 8 PM
  • Located at the end of historic South Beach
  • Limited off-leash hours are available (but the park is not fenced)
  • Stunning view of the ocean and downtown skyline
  • Perfect place to start your day with a sunrise jog or chill with your pup
  • One of the best all-around locations in Miami, it just also happens to be dog-friendly

There are parks with designated dog areas where your dogs can play and cool off and some stunning bark beaches.
