The state of Florida has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Here you'll find soft, sugar-white sand, as well as beautiful scenery with an abundance of wildlife throughout the entire state.

Florida also has several dog-friendly beaches, and we’ll cover 10 of the best so that you know where to take your canine pal the next time you visit the Sunshine State. We’ll list both off-leash and on-leash beaches so that you’re better prepared and know what to expect.

The 10 Dog-Friendly Beaches in Florida

1. Pensacola Beach West Dog Park

? Open Times:From sunrise to sunset May 31 - Oct 31
? Cost:Free
? Off-Leash:No
  • Located near historic Fort Pickens—a must-see attraction
  • Closed in the winter because of turtle season, so please be respectful of the open times
  • Designated signs indicate dog-friendly areas of the beach
  • Dog waste bags, trash bins, and handy wipes available throughout
  • Heads up – dog’s current vaccination records required

2. Salinas Park

5. Mickler’s Landing

6. Jupiter Beach
