Yes, this is something you can expect with a senior dog. My dog had the same problem. First, you should take the dog to the vet to make sure it isn’t a medical problem. My dog had a problem with leaking urine and the vet gave her a pill to take to improve that. I also limited her access to the house so she was only in rooms with tiled floor. I made the rooms comfortable with comfy beds. When she does have access to the rest of the house I put diapers on her.
