I love my dog Mox like nobody’s business, but one of his favorite things to do is burrow under the covers of our bed the second he gets home from the dog park, leaving small rocks and dirt where we can find them late at night after the lights go out. Italian Greyhounds are known for their love of nesting, and keeping my pupster off the bed at all hours wasn’t an option. So when a PawsOff bed cover sample arrived at Dogster HQ, I decided to put it to the test.

When my partner and I unraveled it, the first thing we noticed was how thick the cover was – and noted that it might not be the most breathable material for these summer months, but this thing would rock in winter, a colder climate or a home blessed with air conditioning. It has four thick, elastic garters on all ends that make it easy to attach to the bed, and the product slid easily over the mound of pillows by the headboard. Mox was a little perplexed by the addition, and attempted to dig through it with no luck – this is pretty durable stuff. Eventually he gave up and snuggled up to the pillows through the cover and took a nap. Not quite love at first sight but it will do! The cover gets extra points for making our bed look amazingly neat even though a crumpled blanket and unfluffed pillows lay beneath it.
