Remember Ricochet, the wonderful golden retriever who flunked out of service-dog training and was allowed to follow her bliss to be in and on the water? In doing so, she helped a quadriplegic teen surfer, and has raised money for other disabled youth. If this doesn’t ring a bell, you can watch Ricochet’s original video here.

Well, we’re back with a couple more recent Ricochet showcases, one a slide show, the other a video. They focus on a sweet 6-year-old boy, Ian McFarland, who is brain damaged from an accident that took the lives of both his parents. The boy used to surf with his dad. After the accident, he became fearful of surfing. But the healing power of the ocean and Ricochet changed that. As with the original Ricochet video, you might want to have a hanky handy.
