Yogurt the self-proclaimed Pirate Dog is a social media sensation. Her Instagram account has totted up over 100,000 followers in only a couple of years, as fans sign up to get their daily fix of this goofy one-eyed wonder.
Sure, this little Chihuahua might not technically be a seafarer, but there’s much to enjoy about her adventures in Instagramming. Here’s what you need to know.
The vital statistics
Yogurt is an eight-year-old female Chihuahua who possesses only one eye. She lives in Thailand and is apparently “full of happiness.” Her endearingly goofy-looking expression backs that claim up.
Her big debut
Yogurt’s first ever Instagram picture was posted more than two years ago. She used the moment to introduce herself to the world in her inimitable manner: “Even I am look pity and ugly but my boss said ‘I am beautiful’ … Yeah yeah I am!” Okay!
According to lore, Yogurt lost one of her eyes in an accident. She now heads off to the vet every month for regular check-ups.
Yogurt is a bijou pooch, so it’s only natural that she loves to worm her way into cozy places. This Instagram-themed purse makes for a perfect snuggle spot.
Master of disguise
Yogurt is blessed with an amazingly flexible tongue. Here she’s perched up on some furniture and is demonstrating an exceedingly advanced move called the sideways twirl. Don’t try it at home.
Mmm … watermelon
When it comes to between-meal snacks, there’s one foodstuff that causes Yogurt to go wild — a refreshing slice of watermelon.
Yogurt and her perfect imperfections
If yogurt could give a message to the world, her Instagram captions suggest it would be, “I’m perfect in my imperfections, happy in my pain, strong in my weaknesses, and beautiful in my own way.” Although, I’m not ruling out the possibility she stole that from Oprah.
Hop and skip on over to Yogurt’s Instagram page to keep up with her latest moves.
