I just received a message about an urgent situation at the Bakersfield Shelter located in Kern County, California. They have an overwhelming 900 animals that need homes.

WE CURRENTLY HAVE A COMBINED TOTAL OF OVER 900 ANIMALS AND I ONLY HAVE ABOUT 15 RESCUE HOLDS FOR THIS WEEKEND SO PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP CALL ME RIGHT AWAY. PLEASE NOTE, ANYONE TAKING ANIMALS FROM OUR SHELTER UNDER RESCUE STATUS MUST BE A 501 C 3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE APPROVED AND PARTNERED WITH US.
