Wow, seems like only yesterday Jake and I were embarking on our first Dogster blog. As Jake — who is not looking too handsome in the above photo — says, Yippee! I can’t believe it’s been a whole year. December 1 is our “anniversary” here. It has been great getting to know you, and getting to be in the depths of doggy news every day, even if that news isn’t always happy news. You are a wonderful group of people, of many diverging and intelligent opinions, and I am honored to be writing for you.

I’m going to try to resurrect Jake’s and my doggy Facebook page, if anyone wants to come join us, and if you want to make friends on Jake’s Dogster page, he’d love some company. I will be trying to post a few more pics of Jake so he won’t feel so neglected there, but he still won’t be the most active Dogster on the block, because of my schedule. Poor, neglected dog…

But I have jury duty this week, so it won’t be happening right away. Jake will try to keep me on task, though, when I am done. Meanwhile, he insists I put up a better picture of him, so you won’t think he’s a creep. And because it’s our anniversary, I won’t begrudge him. Here is a nicer photo.
