Dogsters, I’m curious: Do you think that this front-page of yesterday’s Philadelphia Daily News is fair? As Yahoo!Sports points out, the headline and subhead essentially translate to: Puppy Electrocuter Named Starting Quarterback.
Should the tabloid let Michael Vick move on, and not keep hounding him about his horrible dog-fighting past? After all, it’s often reported that he has been on exemplary behavior since being released from prison for his deep involvement in a huge dog-fighting ring, even lecturing children against the lure of the profitable bloodsport on numerous occasions.* Or should he always be tabloid bait, forever chained to his past for his heinous acts against dogmanity? And what about him being the starting — starring — QB? Thumbs up or thumbs down?
*An early commenter who points out that this may just be more media hype, and that he has been far from perfect.
(A big thank-you to Dogster customer service guru John D. Williams for pointing out the controversial cover.)
