That Beagley extraordinaire Eddie Essig barked in this crossposting in hopes of helping Hank. Sounds like Hank has had a hard life but, as the note says, there is something so beautiful about this old man.

Times like this I really wonder about our own species. How anyone could just chuck Hank out into the street is beyond me. I guess us humans have a log way to go before we’re as sensitive and caring as our canine symbiotes.

Whoever adopts Hank, please bark in and let us know the end of this story.

Hank came in to the shelter as a stray and was not claimed. He’s old. He’s got horrible itchy infected fungal skin. He’s got horrible itchy pussy ears with a very large mass. It is being removed tomorrow and in order to get good margins, he may lose the ear flap. He has dry eye and they are both pussy. And he has cushings.

We probably shouldn’t have taken him in – he probably should have been euthanized. But look at that face. How could we not try???

So… i know he’s not a cute little healthy pup, but would any one consider offering Hank a retirement home? He’s old and stinky and partly bald and might be missing an ear after tomorrow, but there’s just something about him that looks handsome under all those problems. We will take care of his medical problems, if some one will just provide him a home with a soft bed to lie on…
