I have had this same thought and wonder why some NFL athletes will not come out against the heinous torture and murder of so many dogs? What do these supposedly brave men fear? Are they so evil-hearted that they do not understand the pain/ Or could it be that they are too cowardly to stand up against one of their own?
Of course, we’re also not hearing from many other professional athletes. Have any basketball players or many baseball players come out and called for an end of this practice? Of course, St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LoRussa is an outspoken animal protection advocate but where are the rest of the sports figures? Several Nascar drivers make a habit of supporting pet rescues.
But where are the rest of them? And why do we not require more of them?
Shame on all those sports stars who cannot take a moment in their over-pampered lives to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves!
