I really dislike posting these types of stories, but without publicity the perpetrators will not be caught. The word needs to get out that this behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated in our society. That there are people out there willing to step up to the plate, do the right thing, and contact the authorities with any information they have on crimes against animals.

You may not just be protecting another animal, you may be protecting yourself or your loved one. Anyone who thinks these monsters stop at animals is wrong. The torture of an animal is just a stepping stone to increasingly violent acts that will eventually be against humans.

DALLAS – Dallas police are trying to determine who set a pair of dogs on fire and burned them so badly that the animals had to be euthanized.

Authorities say the male and female pit bull terriers, seen ablaze and running from an intersection, were critically injured.

A resident of the neighborhood, Shun Hickman, told KTVT-TV that he looked out a window and saw “a big ball of fire.”

Animal advocate Jonnie England said the female dog practically had her face burned off.

The dogs were euthanized several hours after both were seen on fire and running down a street Saturday night, leading to 911 calls to police.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Dallas Police Deparment at 1(877) 373-8477 or 214-373-8477. You can remain anonymous, no one needs to know you called.
