- An exclusive “dog den” room at LA Dogworks. In addition to fab decor, the Dog Den features a large flat panel TV that broadcasts Animal Planet, movies featuring dogs, and educational animal videos.
Firefighters early this morning averted what would have been a Christmas night tragedy for more than 100 dogs after fire broke out at an upscale Hollywood kennel.
The fire at LA Dogworks started around 1 a.m., according to KABC. Firefighters were able to move every dog to another building, where they are now safe, although perhaps not in such splendid digs as they were on Christmas. But by the looks of things in this short news clip, they’re enjoying a big dog party!
LA Dogworks bills itself as “Los Angeles’ first exclusive dog Mecca.” The retreat boasts a 2,500-square-foot indoor dog park, “Dog Den” rooms any human would envy, and exclusive spa treatments, including doggy aromatherapy, massage, and hydrotherapy. Celebs whose canines have spent time there include Lindsay Lohan and Denise Richards.
We’re not sure of the condition of the kennel’s “retail therapy” store, but we hope the dogs get to enjoy a pleasant Boxing Day today.
