The best notecards, in our humble opinion, are the ones that aremade to raise funds for dog rescue. And our favorite of this breed of notecardis Faces of Hope.
It’s a 9-card set, complete with envelopes, created to support Rescuzilla,an excellentdog rescue outfit, and its mission to find loving homes for abandoned dogs in New York City — dogs like adorable, two-year-old Camillo (left), a sweet Pit Bull mix> who adores children and small dogs and is looking for his forever home.
Always thinking of clever ways to raise awareness and funds for dog rescue, Rescuzilla founder Susan Cava partnered with Janet Yule, creator of Fancy Shmancy cards on Etsyto devise “Faces of Hope,” which spotlights the beautiful Rescuzilla dogs who got themselves a new leash on life.
There are three different cards in the set (pictured below), each portraying a Rescuzilla dog and telling his/her sweetstory — like Stella Hope, a formerlysadblack dog whogot a much-deserved happy ending.
As the back of her card reads, Stella Hope was a lonely black pit bull facing terrible odds at the pound. As the days at the pound went on, she grew sad, unhealthy and defeated until she was rescued from the euthanasia list by Rescuzilla. Now, Stella is happy and healthy and living with a loving owner in New Jersey.
As Susan explains, Proceeds from the sale of these notecards will help us care for the many wonderful dogs weve recently pulled from the shelter. We hope that by partnering with Fancy Shmancy we can raise some much needed funds for our dogs in foster awaiting a home.
