Ranked fourth in the world, Scottish tennis player Andy Murray took home the gold for Great Britain when he defeated Swiss player Roger Federer in singles — and also took home the silver medal alongside Laura Robson in mixed doubles. But the blissful glow of proved international athleticism didn’t last long … Murray’s adorable Terriers were featured on Twitter sporting Murray’s medals. Why does that always happen with our dogs? We buy ourselves a pair of shoes, but then the dog has other ideas, turning them into his new favorite chew toys. Dogs these days — they think the world revolves around them! (And well, they wouldn’t be wrong to believe it!)

In fact, it was Maggie May who posted the photo via her very own Twitter account, which has more than 1,000 followers and is faithfully maintained by Murray’s girlfriend, Kim Sears. Maggie donned the gold while her pal, Rusty, wore the silver with the caption, “Here we go folks … Just checking to make sure Rusty definitely has the silver, obviously.”

The pups get a solid 10 out of 10 for cuteness. We think all dogs are gold medal winners for their Olympic-sized hearts. And even if Murray had taken home nothing at the summer Olympics, he’ll always have Maggie May and Rusty as his No. 1 fans.
