Duke Becomes A Star

Congratulations to Duke! He’s the lucky dog featured today on Larry Merrill’s Dog Each Day site!

Here’s what Tina, Duke’s mom had to say about Duke:

This is Duke. Hes a one year old German Shepherd Dog who has captured my heart in a way that few dogs have before. Duke came into the animal shelter that I now work at as a stray. The shelter takes in many, many GSDs due to the fact that they are a very popular breed in our area, so at first I just passed him by and went along my merry way. However, a few barks and pitiful whimpers later, I went over to give him a few pats and when he looked at me with those big, brown, soulful eyes, I knew he was coming home with me. Now the two of us are inseparable, and every day I feel blessed to have a friend like Duke. -Tina

Tina, Duke must be extra special to have caught your attention among all those other dogs. Id be running a kennel in my house if I had your job – my hats off to you for helping to care for them all!
