Having a sick or injured pet is one of the hardest things you can go through as a pet owner. Not only is it heartbreaking to watch your animal companion suffer, but when your furry friend is in pain, you feel it too. Even though you would do anything to help them feel better, it can be hard to know what to do, especially if you’re grappling with surgery or a life-changing diagnosis.

While there are a lot of great healing products for pets on the market, Assisi’s LOOP Lounge stands out for its quality, effectiveness, and design. The Lounge is a non-invasive healing device that uses tPEMF therapy to alleviate pain and inflammation while stimulating the body’s natural healing process. It’s specifically designed for animals and offers all the comfort and support of a traditional pet bed, along with added healing properties. The device is easy to set up, and it can be used to treat a variety of health conditions.

Whether your pet is sick, injured, or slowing down, the LOOP Lounge is the perfect healing device for your furry friend.

Our Experience

Micah was five years old when I found a lump on his left side, and my mind went straight to the worst. I got in with his vet as soon as possible and was relieved to find out it was a non-cancerous lipoma, or fatty tissue tumor. The vet said they could remove it, but since it wasn’t bothering him or causing him harm, they recommended leaving it alone and keeping an eye on it.

For the past two years, I’ve tried everything to get rid of the lump—acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, supplements, red-light therapy. But despite our best efforts, the lump hasn’t gone away. While it’s still relatively harmless, Micah licks it frequently, which he never used to do, so it’s something I’m still actively trying new things for.

When I learned about Assisi’s LOOP Lounge, I was eager to try it out. I loved the idea of a non-invasive treatment, and the Lounge seemed like the perfect option to treat the lump and use on Micah as he gets older.

The product arrived quickly and was well-packaged. It was recommended for me to start with two treatments a day, but you can do as many as three or four treatments a day, depending on your pet’s condition and your veterinarian’s recommendation.

The unit is easy to set up and use, and the pad feels like a dog bed, so Micah has no problem curling up on it for a nap. The large size also fits him perfectly. Micah is a 54 lb Standard Goldendoodle, and he has plenty of room to lie comfortably. I have him lie on it with his left side down, so the lump is directly in contact with the mat, but as long as he’s within 10 inches of the pad, his body gets the benefits.

While Assisi’s tPEMF therapy pads are highly effective, it can take time before you start seeing noticeable improvements in your pet’s condition, especially if your furry friend is dealing with a chronic issue.

Before starting treatments, Micah’s lump measured 5 inches long by 3 inches wide. It wasn’t until three weeks after using the mat that I started noticing slight changes (the lump didn’t look or feel as swollen). After about a month of doing treatments twice a day, I measured the lump again, and it was 4 inches long by 2.5 inches wide, which is super encouraging! I’m going to continue treatments twice daily, and I’m excited to see how it works over a longer period of time.

A secondary benefit I’ve noticed is improvement with Micah’s anal glands. This is the first month I didn’t need to book an anal gland expression with Micah’s vet, which is something I’ve had to do religiously for years to keep him comfortable. He hasn’t licked or scooted his rear in weeks, which is amazing, and something I totally wasn’t expecting or looking to treat!

Key Features

How to Use

The Lounge is easy to use. There are four main components to the lounge: the controller box, the tPEMF therapy pad, the charging cable, and the cover. After unboxing the contents, the first thing you’ll do is charge the controller box. After plugging in the charger, the battery light will turn green. Once the green light turns off, it’s fully charged and ready to use.

To begin a treatment, connect the pad’s wire to the controller box and press the power button. The “Activity” light will blink blue for the duration of the session (15 minutes) and will automatically shut itself off when the treatment is complete. You can do anywhere from 2-4 treatments per day, and it’s best to check with your vet to find a treatment plan that’s right for your pet. Don’t use the lounge near large metal objects since it may reduce beneficial effects, and if you have a pacemaker or other implanted device, it’s best to stay at least 12 inches away while the pad is in use.

The cover is removable, waterproof, and machine washable, and Assisi offers extra covers, controller boxes, and charging cords if you need replacements.

How it Works

The LOOP Lounge uses Targeted Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (tPEMF) therapy to deliver pulses of energy to damaged tissue in your pet. In doing so, it triggers your furry friend’s natural anti-inflammatory processes to promote healing. The electromagnetic signal is safe and effective, and the micro-currents are specifically tuned to aid the recovery process.

PEMF technology was cleared by the FDA for human use in 2010, and Assisi’s tPEMF devices for pets are backed by research and veterinary clinical studies.

Benefits

The great thing about the Loop Lounge is that your pet will benefit from using it no matter what kind of healing they need, even if they’re using it for preventative care. It’s designed to reduce pain and inflammation, and it’s been shown to have a variety of clinical benefits, including improved wound healing, reduced incisional pain, and a greater degree of recovery.

When looking at conditions to treat, the Lounge can be used for the following:

  • Post-surgical recovery
  • Wound care
  • Spinal and nerve disorders
  • Internal inflammation
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Bone, joint, and soft tissue injuries

Is the LOOP Lounge a Good Value?

Whether you get the small, medium, or large, the Lounge is an investment. The price is higher than similar products on the market, but it’s got the science, research, and evidence to back its value. Not only that, but the health benefits speak for themselves. Nothing beats seeing your four-legged friend healthy and happy, and as a healing device that helps them achieve optimal health, the Lounge is well worth investing in.

How We Tested

It was recommended for me to start Micah with two treatments a day for 1-3 months and then continue treatments consistently after that. I’m at the four-week mark, and the lump has shrunk a little, which is great to see. I’ll continue doing treatments twice daily until it’s (hopefully) completely gone. Even then, I’ll probably continue treatments for Micah to help his joints and overall well-being.

For the first few treatments, Micah had a habit of getting up during the session, but once we got in a routine, he stayed for the full 15 minutes. On days when he’s restless, I’ll give him something to chew on to keep him settled, but a lot of the time he’ll just fall asleep.

The device is easy to maintain. The unit holds a good charge, and it’s rechargeable, so all I have to do is plug it back in when the battery light comes on. The pad comes with a removable and machine-washable cover too, which is a huge perk. I’ve been using the Lounge daily with Micah, so it’s nice to be able to throw the cover in the wash for a quick and easy clean.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How soon will I see results?

Every pet is different, and how soon you see results depends on your furry friend’s body and the issues they’re dealing with. That said, you should see noticeable results for acute inflammation within the first or second treatment. For chronic or degenerative issues, you’ll likely see positive changes in 2 to 4 weeks. However, it could take as long as 3 months.

It’s important to keep in mind that this is a long-term treatment. While it’s possible to see positive changes within a few treatments, don’t be discouraged if you don’t see results right away, especially if your pet is dealing with a chronic issue.

Can more than one pet use the Lounge at the same time?

As long as both pets are comfortable and located within the treatment field (10 inches), multiple furry family members can use the LOOP Lounge at the same time.

Can my pet use the Lounge during travel?

The device can be used while traveling and is a great tool to have for your pet during long trips.

Do I need a prescription to buy the LOOP Lounge?

Assisi products are available to buy without a prescription.

Which Assisi product is right for my pet?

There are five different Assisi products, and each one is uniquely designed to help your four-legged friend feel their best. The product you get ultimately depends on your pet’s specific healing needs and the ailment you’re looking to treat.

When you browse Assisi’s website, you can choose from the following:

  • Assisi LOOP for localized healing
  • LOOP Lounge for full body healing
  • DentaLOOP for oral healing
  • Calmer Canine for anxiety
  • EquiLOOP for localized healing in horses

Conclusion

If you’re looking for a non-invasive treatment for your furry friend, Assisi’s LOOP Lounge is a great healing device to get. It’s comfortable, safe, and effective, and it only takes 15 minutes for your pet to have a full session. The unit is rechargeable, and the pad comes with a machine-washable cover for your convenience. Best of all, the health benefits are phenomenal. You can use the device to treat just about any condition, and your pet will experience faster recovery and greater healing.
