Why do you buy chew treats for your dog? Is it to give those puppy teeth something to do other than destroy your shoes? Is it to keep your teenage pup from getting bored while you’re at work? Or is it all about spoiling your favorite furry friend?
Odds are that you have more than one reason to buy chew treats for your dog, which means the best chew for you can change from day to day. The problem then becomes finding the right chew for every occasion.
Luckily for you, Pawstruck has you covered… and covered, and covered! This company has just about every type of natural, minimally-processed chew you can think of, including single-ingredient options for dogs with allergies and intolerances.
Whether you’re looking for a long-lasting chew, a high-value reward, or something in-between, Pawstruck is here for you.
I had a chance to try three very different chew products from Pawstruck with the help of my eclectic gaggle of pets. Spoiler alert: each of them found something to love! Learn more in my full Pawstruck product review below.

Why Finding the Right Chew for Your Dog Can Be Tricky
If you’re here, then you already know that natural, minimally-processed, animal-based chews are a wonderful way to encourage healthy chewing habits while providing much-needed mental and physical stimulation. You’re probably also aware of how hard it can be to find the right chew for your dog—and for the occasion.
Choosing chews for my pack often leaves me feeling like Goldilocks. “This chew is too hard.” “This chew is gone too fast.” “This chew works well during downtimes but isn’t exciting enough at other times.” “My dog loved that chew so much he swallowed it whole!”
The key to solving this problem? Variety! But the chews available at pet supply stores are often limited to the most popular options. Even most online retailers don’t have enough variety to satisfy picky pups.

How Pawstruck Is Different
Variety is where Pawstruck really shines. This family-owned company operating out of Long Beach, California, has been amassing quite the product catalog since its start in 2014.
They currently list over 30 different types of chews on their website, with many available in different sizes and quantities.
In addition to making a whole lot of chews, the company is also very focused on quality. They test throughout production, including microbiological, physical, and chemical safety checks, and the consistency and quality of each batch are verified.
What Kinds of Dogs Is Pawstruck Best Suited For?
As you might have guessed, Pawstruck has something for just about every type of dog. For the strong chewers, they have thick, 12-inch bully sticks. For more finicky pups, there are high-value, easy-to-eat chews made from ingredients dogs love, like baked beef lungs.
Dogs big and small are likely to find something that fits just right with Pawstruck’s massive selection. From super-thin bully twists, easy-chew esophagus, and thin tendons to long-lasting Himalayan yak chews and thick bully braids, there is something for everyone. Even my cat has favorites in their inventory!

What We Tested
I received three products from Pawstruck, each perfectly suited to different types of chewers and situations.
12-Inch Straight Bully Sticks

These massive bullies weren’t just long; they were seriously thick, which made them the perfect chews for the super chewers in my household, Bo and Burley. These two eighty-pound Labs can make short work of just about any chew. Combined with a bully-stick holder, each of these chews lasted for hours.
These bully sticks are sourced from South American cattle and slow-roasted to reduce odors.
Junior Bully Treat Sticks (Bully Slims)

Don’t let the name fool you; these chews aren’t made from pizzle like traditional bully sticks. Instead, they are made from slow-roasted, South American-sourced beef esophagus, making them softer, crunchier, and easier to chew than traditional bully sticks.
They are the perfect texture for my fifteen-year-old Dalmatian mix, who loves to chew but has very few teeth left. My cat is also a big fan of the Bully Slims!
Choppers Beef Lung Treats

One of the newest additions to the Pawstruck catalog is roasted beef lung chews. These super-crunchy treats come in big chunks about the size and thickness of a hand. They are fairly easy to break apart and are super high-value.
Broken into smaller pieces, they make great training rewards. They are also perfect chews for small dogs, especially those less motivated by standard chews. I like to shove them into kongs for a fun, tasty treat.

What to Know About Pawstruck Chews
What’s In a Chew?
Pawstruck keeps many of its chews refreshingly simple, starting with recognizable animal ingredients rather than long lists of additives.
Their bully sticks, for instance, are made from beef pizzle that is cleaned, hung to dry, and slow-roasted, while their collagen chews contain only the inner layer of beef skin. Other options include beef esophagus, tendons, ears, and other animal parts, prepared through processes such as drying or roasting to create different textures and levels of durability.
Many are single-ingredient chews, with no artificial preservatives, colors, or fillers. Even the more elaborate options, such as collagen-wrapped jerky, combine just a few recognizable ingredients.
Variety, Variety, Variety
If your dog has a favorite flavor, texture, or a particular level of chewiness you know they like, Pawstruck gives you plenty of options to experiment with. Their selection goes well beyond beef, with chews made from chicken, pork, lamb, turkey, and more.
You’ll also find less-conventional options such as trachea, tendons, ears, collagen braids, Himalayan yak chews, and bully springs.
Not sure what your dog will like? Pawstruck’s Bizarre Bargain Bags offer an assortment of naturally irregular chews at a discount, making them a fun way to sample different textures and shapes without committing to a full package of each. It’s a practical approach to finding your dog’s favorites and keeping chew time from getting boring.
Take the Quiz
With so many options, choosing the right chew can feel like a guessing game. Pawstruck takes some of the guesswork out with its Best Bet Quiz, which provides personalized product recommendations based on your dog’s size and preferences.
And if your pup isn't impressed with these recommendations, the company's Happiness Guarantee means they'll replace the product or send something else to try at no charge. Together, the quiz and guarantee make experimenting with unfamiliar chews a little less risky, and can help you find a new favorite without being stuck with a bag your dog won't touch.

Our Experience With Pawstruck
My bags of Pawstruck chews arrived at the perfect time. My parents had left their two giant Labradors with me for two weeks while they went on a trip. These two big boys joined my fifteen-year-old Dalmatian mix, Ragz, and my cat, who very much believes he is a dog.
This eclectic gang, as it turns out, was the perfect bunch to help me test these three very different chews.
The 12-inch bully sticks, obviously, were going to the big boys, and not just because of how long they were. These things were thick! As someone who has tried quite a few bully options through a long life of owning many voracious chewers, I was really impressed with these big bullies.
It’s worth noting that Pawstruck sells most of their chews by weight, not quantity, which means it is possible to get a bag of skinnier 12-inch bullies. But at least what you lack in thickness, you’ll make up for in number.
The younger Lab, Bo, is a chew-monster and made it through almost an entire bully stick in an hour (hence why I started using the bully stick holder). Still, for him, that’s a long time. Burley, the chocolate Lab, took his time and chewed on the stick obsessively over the course of two days.
For the voracious chewers, I highly recommend these big bully sticks.
The next product I tried was the Junior Bully Treat Sticks. These esophagus sticks are much thinner, a bit crunchier, and easier to chew than real bullies. They were perfect for my older girl who has few teeth left.
She was able to chew these with ease, but each still lasted about twenty minutes—perfect for her to tackle between naps.
My cat stole one of these and ate the entire thing in about the same amount of time. Because he is a bit of a troublemaker, I have often tried to find chews he will eat to keep him occupied, and hit unexpected gold with these!
Neither the big bullies nor the esophagus chews had any strong odors. They weren’t greasy, either. The quality appeared as high as Pawstruck promises.
The last chew treat I tried was the Choppers Beef Lung. These were a huge hit, though they didn’t last long in any of the dogs’ jaws, even the full, large pieces. But they are definitely high-value and a great option for spoiling pups, rewarding extra-good behavior, as a food topper, or hiding inside a Kong or toy.
Overall, I was really impressed with these chews and even more impressed with the huge selection Pawstruck offers. I will definitely be ordering more (I’ve got my eye on that Bizarre Bag—sounds fun!), and highly recommend this company to any other pet owners looking to add variety to their dogs' chewing arsenal.
