Magnetic Earrings Or Piercings?

One of your fellow Dogsters wrote in to ask for advice on ear piercing for dogs. Connors asks:

Shasta and I love jewellery. I have been using the magnetic earring on Shasta and she loves it. I only put it on her one ear. What I was wondering, is there a safe procedure for actually having her one ear pierced? I only use tiny, non dangling earrings so they cannot catch on anything. If so, what type of place would I go to to have this done?

I live in Ontario, Canada, so please no USA addresses please.
