If you live in or are visiting Monterey, California, you definitely want to get out in the sunshine. If you want your dog to accompany you, a few dog-friendly beaches are available for your canine to burn off steam, splash in the waves, and make new friends.

Here are four of the best dog beaches in the area, each with unique perks and potential downfalls. So, make sure to do your research and always follow the beach rules. Let's dig in.

1. Del Monte Beach

Even though there are only a few dog-friendly beaches around Monterey, California, they are lovely spots with lots to do. It's important to learn the beach rules and ensure you bring any necessary supplies along.
