Strange Bedfellows Results In Injuries

What the? Is this a case of misplaced interspecial love? Usually its the dog following the deer! Check out this article from United Press International.

A 75-year-old Ohio woman needed 27 stitches on her right knee after scuffling with a deer that followed her dog into the house.

Mary Blake said she had no idea a deer was right behind her border collie, Buddy, when she opened the patio door to let him in, the Cleveland Plain Dealer said in its Monday editions.

When she realized the deer was there, Blake tried to shut the door but the doe knocked it off the track, crashing into Blake.

“She started stomping me,” Blake, who ran to call police, told the newspaper.

By the time officers arrived, the doe had damaged walls, furniture and Blake.

The Broadview Heights resident was treated for bruises and cuts on her arms, legs and stomach from the scuffle, the Plain Dealer reported.

The deer eventually left through an open door.
