OK, But...

The dog service is ok, the staff is nice to the us, but there are some cons. Number 1, if you want to come visit your dog from boarding, they said they need a 2 days notice. Which made us think there were hiding something. Our house was under construction for a few months and we had to board her. They also trained her, but when we came to visit, they said we weren't allowed to see her! Because she would "Pick up" our scent and go back to her ld self. REALLY???

Re: B S review (Murphy)

I have been using 5 star kennels since they opened for all my dogs needs and every experience has been GREAT.The staff is very kind, helpful, and caring.I bring my dog there every morning at 5:30 am and I am always greated by a happy face who takes Reily in and prepares her for the day of doggy day care and training. My dog gets excited as soon as we pull up to the building because she knows she is in for a wonderful day.I can not believe the change in my dog since she has been training at 5 Star. The owner of Murphy must be mistaking,I would guess she went to a different kennel and mixed it up.by you not going to 5 Star is yours and Murphy`s loss. They have a VERY clean enviorment and go far beyond the call of duty to make you and your puppy happy. They have very reasonable prices and the highest quality results.Don`t be fooled by these so called (Vet/kennel) under 1 roof scams there is no personal touch. Come meet Big Mike, little Mike,Danny,Francine,Tina,Amanda, James, and the rest of the talented staff at 5 Star kennels, you will become a happy and dedicated customer. It is such a privlidge to be able to leave your pet and not worry, knowing they are with the best. I say thanks and Reily says Thanks

Bad daycare experience

I didn't have the highest hope for 5 Star Kennel's doggy daycare. The rooms the dogs play in are rather small, as are the outdoor areas. We were told that the dogs are supervised at all times, but the first time we dropped off our dog, we had to call a member of the staff to wake him up and answer the door. Then our dog was put in a room with a bulldog, and the staff member left the room as we were leaving. The next time he was there, my boyfriend walked in to pick up Murphy at the end of the day. Murphy was alone in a cage that was too small for him in the grooming room. Cages give him tons of anxiety--that's why we take him to doggy daycare. When asked why he was placed there, the sleepy attendant said, "It's the end of the day". But other dogs were still in the play rooms! When we got Murphy outside, he was visibly upset, and had terrible diarrhea multiple times. Also, no one was able to tell us how Murphy spent his day. The staff at 5 Star is nice, but they're very young and don't seem very experienced. We won't be returning.
