Dr. Sage operates an equine and small animal housecall practice. Equine services include routine health care, reproduction, lameness exams, dentistry and 24 hour emergency care. The ambulatory practices covers many counties in both North and South Carolina.
The small animal housecall practice provides routine health care for dogs and cats in the comfort of your own home. Services include physical examinations, vaccinations, heartworm checks and fecal exams This onsite service allows for personalized attention for both you and your pet, less interruption of busy schedules in transportation and waiting and less stress for nervous or timid pets. Dogs are social and pack animals. They thrive best when they have constant interaction. Two well know phrases hold true. " A bored dog is a destructive dog" and " A tired dog is a happy dog." What could be better than knowing while you're at work, your special pup is having the time of their life at K9 Playland with all of their friends. They'll be having such a great time they won't want to come home!

Our facility:
Our state-of-the-art facility consists of indoor and outdoor play areas. Our 4000 sq ft of indoor play has divided areas for separate playgroups based on age, size and temperament. Playground equipment, toys and balls , stimulate activity and exercise. We also have comfortable lounging areas for "nap time" and when your pup decides to take a break from group play.

Our outdoor play area is nearly 3000 sq ft, filled with playground equipment, toys, and pools for summertime play.

About the owner:
K9 Playland is owned and operated by Erica Lake and her special pups, Alvin (a pug) and Zoe (a dachshund). Her love for all dogs inspired her to open a facility that would provide a unique service for owners who care for their pets as much as she does. Her background includes animal hospitals and kennels which give her the experience in animal care and dog behavior.

Our Staff:
All staff members are dog lovers and have a great enjoyment of being able to work and play with our canine friends.

Boarding:
When you have a business trip or are going on vacation, you want to ensure your best friend's taken care of. At K9 Playland, we offer our furry family members a vacation of their own. You will be able to rest and relax knowing your special pup is in good hands. WE offer spacious kennels, luxury suites and cageless boarding for the best "home away from home" experience. There will be no more worrying that your furry family member is cooped up in a cage or crate while you're away. We provide cozy cots and blankets at night to make your pooch as comfortable as possible.

*For overnight campers we recommend you bring their usual food from home. We will be happy to provide food but changes in food can cause upset stomach for most dogs.

Puplosophy:
K9 Playland accepts all dog breeds and sizes who comply with temperament and vaccination requirements. We pride ourselves in our canines having the best experiences during daycare. Therefore, during the complimentary trial day we will evaluate if your dog would benefit from this type of setting.



Requirements for Daycare & Boarding:
*Current proof of vaccinations:
D.H.L.P.P., Bordetella, Rabies
*All dogs over 7 months must be spayed & neutered
*All dogs must be on active flea control
*All dogs must be in good health
