Dr. Tate Saved My Life!I WROTE THIS IN MY DOGSTER DIARY IN MARCH 2007: "For someone who is only a little over a year old, much has happened to me. I don't remember my birth mom or if I had any brothers and/or sisters. I only remember living in a cage somewhere in the country and not having enough to eat. My owner gave me to her daughter and I moved to the city. I still didn't get enough to eat and I was smacked around enough to make me very afraid of humans. But there is a God. On this day, February 28, 2007, He saw to it that I was rescued and turned over to my foster mommie. We liked each other from the beginning. She fed me lots of good food and treated me very gently. I think I'm going to like it here. I have five brothers: Peewee, Oscar, Felix, Fritzie, and Mitch." AOne Sunday a few weeks after I came to live with Mommie and we both decided to make it permanent, I bumped my head slightly and passed out. I was NOT breathing! Mommie did mouth-to-mouth on me. When I started to breathe, she rushed me to Webster Groves Animal Hospital. I spent 30+ hours there recovering. When I came home, I could not walk, but Mommie held me and cuddled with me so I would stay calm. Dr. Tate said I had brain damage from being smacked around in my previous home. He put me on steroids and by Thursday I was walking and wagging my tail again at Mommie -- and even going outside to do my business. Mommie was so happy that she cried. Over the Summer, Dr. Tate weaned me off of the steroids. I was down to 1/4 of a pill once a week. I did not last the whole week. I had a relapse and went back to a whole pill. The good news is that it was my last "spell." I am now back down to 1/4 of a pill every third day with no signs of having another relapse. I LOVE MY DOGTOR!!!! 1 pet found this review unhelpful |
Great ExperienceI had to go here last night because they were the only place open. I loved it! I have bad allergies and needed a shot. The doctor was very nice and helpful. She took the time to explain my paw problem too. It was much cheaper than I expected. |
The Best Vets everI have only been to Webster Animal Hospital 2 times, but my mommy loves all the doctors there. She said that her other kitties (that passed away) recieved the best care possible and the doctors were all very supportive and sympathetic when Anastasia got cancer and when Gatsby started to have liver problems. She says that she came here first years ago when she taught preschool and the guinea pig was sick. The vet took care of the little guy and only charged for the antibiotics (a few dollars) because it was a classroom pet. All my family goes there; my aunts Abby and Gizmo and my cousins Sonny and Sassy. This is the best vet place around. 1 pet found this review helpful |
