1. Manly Lagoon Park

️Address: New South Wales, Australia
Hours: 24 hours
Cost: Free
Off Leash Allowed?: Yes, in the Sandy Bay area
  • Beach is open day and night
  • Dogs are allowed to roam off-leash, but they are limited to parts of the lawn area and sand flats
  • Small grass area where your dog can run around
  • Quaint beach northwest of Clontarf around Sandy Bay road

2. Gunyah Beach

️Address: Bundeena NSW 2230, Australia
Hours: 24 hours
Cost: Free
Off Leash Allowed?: No
  • The beach is open for dogs 24 hours a day, all year round
  • Dogs need to be leashed from September to April, from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.; they can off leash at all other times
  • Small and secluded beach on the eastern side of Bundeena

3. Lady Robinsons Beach

️Address: New South Wales, Australia
Hours: 24 hours
Cost: Free
Off Leash Allowed?: Yes, between the 60 and 61 gates
  • Plenty of sandy areas for your dog to run around on
  • Dogs are only allowed on the beach before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m.
  • Dogs are allowed off their leashes between gates 60 and 61
  • A safe place on the northern part of Lady Robinsons Beach

4. Rose Bay Beach

Off Leash Allowed?: Yes
  • Dogs can be off their leash at any time, but they are only allowed off their leash in the Dumaresq Reserve before 8.30 a.m. and after 4.30 p.m.
  • Long stretch of sandy beach where dogs can run around off their lead
  • Remember to bring a doggy poop bag to pick up after your dog
  • A lovely view of the beach with enjoyable sunsets
  • Can get busy at times

5. Silver Beach

️Address: Kurnell NSW, Australia
Hours: 24 hours

Off Leash Allowed?: Yes, between the third and fourth jetties
  • A beach with a beautiful view of and surrounding the city
  • Dogs are allowed off of their leash between the third and fourth jetties
  • The waters are calm and mostly clear, and your dog can take a splash in the water
  • Dogs are allowed on the beach from Monday to Friday

6. Rowland Reserve

️Address: Pittwater Rd, Bayview NSW 2104, Australia
Hours: 24 hours
Cost: Free
Off Leash Allowed?: Yes
  • A free beach where your dog can roam off their leash
  • The calm waters are great for introducing dogs to the beach and getting them used to the water
  • A park in Pittwater is nearby where dogs can run around and play
  • The beach offers a great view, incredible sunsets, and places to walk

7. Horderns Beach

️Address: Bundeena NSW, Australia

Off Leash Allowed?: Yes, on the weekends
  • Dogs must be on a leash from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. during the week from Monday to Friday
  • On the weekend, your dog is allowed off-leash to roam around this stunning beach
  • The beach offers a view of crisp blue waters surrounded by trees, with a stretch of sand that your dog can run and play on

8. Greenhills Beach

️Address: Greenhills St, Kurnell NSW 2231, Australia
Hours: 24 hours
Cost: Free
Off Leash Allowed?: Yes, before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m.
  • Dogs must stay on their leash between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. but thereafter are allowed to roam free on the stretch of sand
  • It can be quite busy during certain times of the year, especially in summer
  • The perfect place to sit and watch your dog play while having a picnic and enjoying the view of the ocean
  • Bring doggy poop bags with you, as there are limited bins on the beach where you can discard them

9. Sirius Cove Reserve

️Address: New South Wales 2088, Australia
Hours: 24 hours
Cost: Free
Off Leash Allowed?: Yes, between Monday and Friday and before 9 a.m. and after 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays
  • A beach with a large stretch of grass where you can have a picnic and play fetch with your dog
  • Plenty of space for your dog to run and play on the sand
  • The waters are usually calm and offer a spectacular view throughout the day
  • Dogs should be kept on their leash during the weekend, but they can roam free from Monday to Friday

10. Clifton Gardens Beach

Off Leash Allowed?: Yes, depending on the season

  • The large stretch of sand offers your dog plenty of space to run around
  • In winter, dogs can be off leash from 4 p.m. to 9 a.m. and in summer, from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m.

11. Kutti Beach in Vaucluse

Off Leash Allowed?: Yes, in the Sandy Bay area
  • A quiet and secluded beach where you can take your dog on a walk
