The fondest memories that I have of my childhood involve my pets. I was lucky enough to grow up in a house that had a huge backyard–and in my early years, the wandering landscape of that backyard played host to creatures of all types, shapes and sizes. Over the years, my sister and I were the proud guardians of tortoises, rabbits, two cats, a dog and a duck. Here I am, in fact, with Fuzzy the Duck:
