A recent survey of more than 2,600 dog owners unearthed some surprising findings about separation anxiety, with 76% saying their dogs experience separation anxiety when kept away from their humans, and 47% saying they themselves suffer from separation anxiety when kept away from their dogs.

The survey, conducted by CertaPet, also revealed:

72.7% would get another dog if their existing dogs would be less anxious

70% would break up with a partner who didn’t welcome their dog often enough

69% would prefer to work from home permanently to stay with their dog

41% have cancelled plans because they couldn’t bring their dog
