State Of The Art Facility For Abandoned Dogs In Glasgow

Dogs Trust has officially opened a brand new facility for abandoned, unwanted and stray dogs in Glasgow, with the launch of the charitys newest and most state-of-the-art Rehoming Centre. The Centre is the 17th addition to its network of Rehoming Centres across the UK that currently care for over 14,000 stray or abandoned dogs every year.

The launch of Dogs Trust Glasgow Rehoming Centre is a red carpet experience. The Centre was opened by Dogs Trust Chairman, Philip Daubeny, and Beau, a one year old Lurcher, one of the Centres current residents acting as our very own VIP (Very Important Pooch) guest.

The Centre is essential in helping the thousands of stray dogs found in Scotland last year alone there were almost 8,000 stray dogs collected by local authorities in the country. At any one time Dogs Trust Glasgow will be able to care for around 90 dogs and heralds a new era in animal rescue, promising to give both the canine residents and visitors a whole new experience in rehoming a rescue dog.
