After yesterday’s look back over the heart-tugging case of Oakley, we welcome a photo-bombing phenomenon …
8. Otis
Otis is a Great Dane–German Shepherd mix who’s quite the wag. Tapping into the photo-bombing trend, Otis conspired with his owners, John and Sarah Kanive, to casually appear in a number of photos advertising their Chicago apartment for rent on Craigslist.
“The first picture I took, of the living room, he was just laying on the floor,” John told the ABC news site back in March. From that casual start, he and Otis pulled off the same stunt around the apartment: He peeked from behind a kitchen countertop, popped his head up over a couple of beds, nestled his face between two dining room chairs, and curled up around a coffee table.
Naturally, the apartment listing spread at hyper-speed through the usual social media channels and Otis became an online star. The apartment also received a barrage of inquiries.
We’re unsure exactly where Otis moved to once the apartment was rented, but what price the Kanives receiving a holiday card featuring Otis casually photo-bombing their Christmas tree?
