Here’s some good news from the BBC.
Dog rescued after four days
A dog that was trapped under a shed full of logs for four days has been rescued by firefighters. Freddy, an 18-month-old border terrier, went missing during a walk.
The dog was only found after a neighbour heard scratching underneath a shed near his owners’ home in Bayston Hill, Shropshire.
Fire crews had to remove all the logs from the shed and cut through floorboards to save Freddy, who is now recovering from his ordeal.
His owner Martin Parrish, 53, said: “We are extremely elated to have him back.”
Andrea Parrish, 36, told a website for lost dogs: “Freddy is home and sleeping soundly. He spent the night on a drip and is having to go back for daily check-ups.
“I slept properly for the first time since Friday last night – and so did Fred.”
