I dated the classic bad boy, who broke my heart on his way out the door. He was super hot, but I knew he was no good for me, and I’m still picking up the pieces.
I found out recently that he’s back in jail — and he started writing me the most beautiful letters, swearing he’s changed and that he wants to be with me forever. I’m torn, but my friends all tell me I’m nuts for even considering it. What do you think?
It sounds to me like he’s seen the error of his ways and is ready to commit to you and make things right. You need to run to him (during visiting hours, of course) and take back your man!
Now, if you believe any of that, please turn to the person next to you and ask them to slap your face.
Wake up, LoLa! It’s slim pickings in the slammer and he’s going through his mental Rolodex of silly women he was able to charm before. I guarantee once he’s out of that dog pound he’ll be dogging around again — and it won’t be with you!
Please consider a trip down the self-help aisle and grab a book on how not to be a doormat. You deserve better, LoLa. Once you start to believe that, you’ll no longer be on the radar of these losers.
