Ah, the joys of live TV. Yesterday on Live with Regis and Kelly, a dog on the set of the show made good use of the faux bushes in the background. Twice. The first time was a leg lift (at around 4:10 the video above; fast forward if you want to skip the rest of the segment), and about a minute later the dog moved on to the next order of business. (Look for that around 5:40 on the timeline.)
The dog, Scooter, is a rescue from the Tennessee floods, and is up for adoption through the North Shore Animal League. League spokeswoman Beth Ostrosky Stern (Howard Stern’s wife), took it in stride, and even managed to squeeze in a last summer safety tip after the little incident.
Is Scooter the only dog who has done this? No way! Poop happens. Last month I posted a TV snippet of a dog getting loose at a minor-league baseball game and using the field as her toilet. Let’s take a look at some other major dog-poop TV fails.
Here’s one from a live TV newscast from Israel. I don’t know what they’re saying, but the body language is universal.
This is an odd one from a newscast in Los Angeles.
And finally, a live weather cam happens to catch a dog going for a nice walk in the snow…
So Scooter, you are not alone. Other dogs have been televised on live TV doing the same thing. Don’t hang your head in shame. Oh wait, you didn’t. You wagged your tail and looked almost proud. Never mind.
