This last weekend Sarr and I attended a dog camp for everyone with ANLOL. It was fun.
My best friend Wiley was there, as well as Noble, Barry, Beson, Cooper, Smicklas, Maybelle, Kenna, Maxie, Tee, Boone, and Boyd, PLUS Bonnie, Burns the Cairn Terrier(though he doesn't like me), Britches the brindle terrier mix, Lillian the Whippet, Steppenwolf the wolf hybrid, and a number of other dogs of various breeds.
We did some agility and swam in the pond a lot. There was good-natured wrasslin'. I got to smell some cats. We slept in a nice trailer (with a fridge full of chocolate- the humans liked this), but they put me in a crate (that was more like a bird cage) for the night! It was terrible! Early Sunday morning, I startled awake and barked at Mom while she was heading toward the bathroom. Wiley came running in and climbed into bed with Sarr for safety! What a big golden chicken. ;3
Speaking of which, Wiley's about to be placed. Hurray! (Though also, :(! ) His sister Sadie has also been placed, but she still has some training to do too, I guess. At the camp fire late Saturday night, friend Beson the oh-my-god-big Labradoodle got his assistance dog cape. Wow! His mom has worked really hard with him, so they totally deserve it. :3
There's new pics of me (finally)- me at an anime convention (as Okami!), an older picture taken at an MDA camp, and then taken this weekend- me looking stylish in the leaves and me jumping on the agility course. There's still no photos of my Halloween costume yet- the digital camera wasn't to be found and the film from the camera used instead hasn't even been developed yet. They'll be up eventually!!

Oohh... it's been a long long time since the last time Sarr wrote me a diary entry.... D: I ate one of her tootsie-pops though, so that's probably revenge enough.
Yesterday I was a surfer/lifeguard for Halloween. It was fun. At first I thought maybe we were going to go swimming because I had my life jacket put on, but when they put the shorts on, I realized I probably wouldn't be able to swim with them on- it was hard enough getting used to walking in them! I also got my nose painted blue and Sarr made me a bead and seashell necklace to wear... there was some "good boys" too, which is ALWAYS a plus. :3
About a week and a half ago, I really hit a "lightbulb" moment in my training. After months and months of working on it, I've suddenly decided I'm REALLY good at picking things up off the floor- first pencils and keys, and now anything that'll fit in my mouth- coins, paper, and even a box that I have to tip so I can get my mouth around are no problem. Within two days of this "revelation," I started going and getting things off of chairs and edges of tables too, and even learning the command "leash" (sometimes I even stand there and contemplate where would be the best area for picking it up). It didn't even take me long to start doing it not only at places I know, but at stores and even crowds! We went to a marching band competition and impressed many people with my amazering skills. :D
And while I'm on a ramble, not too long ago my younger Irish Setter friend and I thought we'd have some fun and eat an entire container of grapes. HUMANS: GRAPES AND RAISINS ARE POISONOUS TO DOGS! Me an' him had to go to the emergency vet and throw up, and then again for a check-up the next morning to make sure we were okay, which isn't too bad. They fed us, so it was ultimately pretty fun (us working dogs are usually ignored... who can blame me for liking a place where there's food and high voices everywhere?).
That's about it. My people are pretty proud of me (in public-behavior and training, anyhow), so I'm a pretty pleased pup. :3

I've been learning lots of new things lately- my family says I'm like a little sponge! Unfortunately, I've also developed a new name: Hanson D. Butterball. The D stands for "Destructo." I've been getting into everything, whether it be climbing over the gate or browsing shelves to find new toys to dirty up, or "discovering" all the bottles and pieces of paper hiding around the house.
I've been having a sick tummy (probably from eating bugs or plants). But! I've been eating chicken and rice instead of dog food!! I wonder if I've died and am in doggy-heaven.... :D
My family got a new wire for the camera, so now there's some new pics of me here on my profile. :) I've seen my brothers again lately. My brother Harvey is smaller and lighter colored than me. He is also very fast! Hurley, my slightly older brother, is a little stockier than me, and has more definition between the color on his back and belly. I'm still the most beautiful, of course.
Notable new places I've been: movies, Red Robin, Raising Cane's (their mascot is a yellow lab! [they're also donating to the race coming up, which will go to helping sponsor my training!!]), Wal-Mart (I got to walk this time), and a green house. :3
