why do dogs shake while they are sleeping deeply or are they dreaming?

Yes, dogs dream when they are deeply asleep. They can twitch, shake, move their ears and eyes, make slurping noises as if they're eating or drinking, and even bark or growl in their sleep. Perfectly normal.

That's REM (Rapid Eye Movement). It's part of dreaming.
