Update of Account

I notice that whenever I open up my account, it states that I need to update my info so I can receive the e-mails, etc. I've done this 2ce but keep getting the same request. What do I need to do? Each time I've updated, it's said, "thank you for updating" so I assumed all was okay. Thanks for any info you can give me!
