skinned up paws

my baby messed up his paws and the big pad has pulled the skin off and he can barely walk i am putting antiboditc ontiment on it anything i can put it

It is best not to put anything on the paws at all. You will notice that your dog will probably lick his pads, and that is okay. If he cannot walk very well, try to keep him confined to places where he might have more cushion, or a better feeling under his feet. Sometimes carpet can actually hurt them more because it can be prickly. His pads will heal on his own. If you put anything else on there and your dog licks it off, you can risk having your dog get sick from ingesting ointments or creams. The skin will grow back - in a couple of days or so you probably won't even be able to tell that he skinned his pads in the first place. It is best to let them heal on their own.
