It does sound like your dog may have got hurt. But if it is old age, you should look into the Greenies for Joint care. I gave it to my old guy, and it really helped him get up in the morning without as much pain.

Dogs don't normally limp UNLESS something hurts. That said, it is most likely at her age she is suffering from arthritis either in her spine, her hips OR her knees. I would definitely find another vet...there are many great drugs available for dogs suffering from arthritis, it really isn't fair for her to be in pain when she doesn't have to be. As a human with arthritis, the pain is worse when first moving, once you get "stretched out" a bit, it is usually better. While the drugs are good and definitely help, sadly, there is no way we can make any dog young again, but we can make the time they have left more comfortable!!
