Can Beagles get adhd?

My Beagle is a 10 month old female, she is very hyper and gets exicited easily. She will bite your arm and has to have her chickie which is her chicken chew toy. If she doesn't have her way she barks. She doesn't beg she takes. Is this adhd. if not is this normal?

Beagles are hunting/working dogs. They require exercise. If they don't get it, they can behave the way you describe. You can take her for long walks, hide treats or her favorite toy in your house and teach her to find them. My dogs love the find the treat/toy game. She was bred to use her nose. Let her use it. Good Luck with her.

She sounds like a totally normal adolescent dog who is not getting enough exercise, or training. Things that were cute as a puppy are now annoying. Easy fix...tons of exercise & daily training. Teens like to challenge & spread their wings. Reinforce all those commands you've been working on since you got her. Maybe try some nose work.
