Can anyone help me please?

01/10/2011 max randomly disappeared from our backyard. we adopted him in PA and had him for 9 months and decided to move back out to CA. we were only here for 10 days when he vanished. That day the gardener was supposed to mow the lawn. Well we took notice the backyard wasn't done that day and our dog was missing. The gardener said he saw the dog outside the yard in A neighbors yard just standing there. I know max and if he got out of the yard he would have been all over the place sniffing. We have been putting up fliers everywhere posting reports everywhere, police report, been to shelters up to 100 miles away knocked doors walked the streets calling for him day and night, we even stopped 2 animal control vehicles and gave them fliers of max and no sign of max anywhere. No one saw him that day except for the gardener. Max is micro chipped. we would have been contacted right away if he was found. What do we do now? My heart is being torn everyday he is gone! I feel so sick :'(

Well all you have to do is just wait patiently until someone has contacted you about him/her....

When Dagger left we did everything, but never found......

He may have been stolen. Sounds kinds suspicious the Gardner being there and not mowing the lawn the same day the dog disappeared. Either he got accidentally let out or stolen. I'm not accusing the Gardner. Some people steal dogs for many reasons including being used for bait dogs in a pit fight. Don't know what kind of dog it was. The possible dog napper may be waiting for a reward posting. Good way to make money ,no?

If you post signs, include reward that always makes things happen.(p.s you don't have to list how much the reward is either, just say reward and don't tell them if they call, just say meet me at McDonalds and I will give you the money as soon as my dog is in my hands!)
And sometimes it takes a couple weeks. But, it's past that.
Place a reward and lost ad in the paper again, that will help.
I know how you feel I had two dogs stolen and I got them both back with reward ads.

check your rescues and place a lost ad on petfinder.com
Also, at shelters here they place all pureabred looking dogs in the back and the cages are covered. Request you look at ALL the dogs even in the back!
They will have a fit but you have the right to know where ALL the dogs are. And ask them if they use Fosters too! The dog could already be at one of their fosters. :)
Request to leave flyers at the shelter as well. They have to let you.
