Franky Dood is a Miniature Goldendoodle who lives in Minnesota. Since hitting the social media scene, this 1 1/2-year-old pup has been using her popular Instagram account to let people watch along as she grows up and makes friends. Consider this your formal introduction to Franky’s world.
Some things are meant to be
The saying that you don’t pick your dog, your dog picks you rings true with Franky.
“That’s exactly what happened on our first meeting,” says Franky’s owner. “There were puppies running around like crazy, but Franky straight up walks over and just hangs the whole time. When mom came out for feeding, all the puppies ran towards her, and Franky took two steps then turned around and came right back to me. That was the moment.”
A playful pup
When it comes to describing Franky’s personality, “playful” is the first word that comes to mind. “She’s such a little goofball when she has no one to play with,” her owner explains. “There is not one ounce of meanness, hate, or negativity — she’s always happy to meet people and other animals of all kinds.”
Smiles for miles
Franky isn’t just a hit on the social media circuit — she’s also become a recognizable face when she’s out and about in her home state.
Her owner explains, “We are from Minnesota, so the term ‘Minnesota nice’ is very true. She gets a lot of comments about her hair and her color. It’s fun to see all of the dog people because it’s smiles for miles.”
The Chicken Challenge
If you’ve been checking out Franky’s Instagram account, you’ll have noticed that she once took part in the fabled Chicken Challenge. It turns out that she was awarded the participation ribbon for her efforts.
“Franky’s friends from Doggle Doods are a goofy bunch of doods who take everything to the next level,” says her owner when explaining Franky’s egg-balancing skills. “It started with a little Lego chicken-man picture on her nose, then it was game on with Mochi, Charlie, Peanut, and others who joined in. Real chickens were sacrificed by the end of it!”
A mascot in the making
With Franky residing in the official state of hockey, it’s no surprise that she’s a fan of a little puck action. Although when it comes down to it, this is one pooch who’s more suited to a mascot role than being a member of any starting six.
“She’d be great at making people happy and revving up the crowd,” says her owner. “Plus, she has a secret crush on the Minnesota Wild’s mascot Nordy.”
A winter lover
Keeping with the icy antics, it turns out that Franky is a big fan of the winter season. “There is nothing better than a fresh coat of snow and cool temperatures,” explains her owner. “If it wasn’t for snowballs clumping up on her, she would spend all day every day out in the snow.”
A treat thief
Late last year, a scandal broke out when Franky was accused of the heinous crime of stealing treats. A mugshot was taken to record the incident.
When asked what sort of devious tactics Franky employs in her treat-stealing endeavors, her owner says, “The eyes! It’s all about the eyes. You get mesmerized in those big brown eyes, and she will watch you get drawn into a trance while you unknowingly let her take those treats right off the table.”
Stay vigilant, people.
