The 10 Most Adorable Realistic Dog Stuffed Animals

1. Hansa Creations

Hansa Creations

Hansa Creations has an impressive catalog of realistic stuffed dogs to choose from. They carry breeds like German Shepherds, Huskies, Yorkshire Terriers, Samoyeds, Jack Russel Terriers, Chihuahuas, and more. Some breeds are available in adult and puppy form, and others are available in life-size options. Their life-size Husky, for example, is 34 inches tall, while their regular Husky is 13.75″ tall. Hansa even sells life-size mechanical animatronics that can move their heads and tails. They have options to suit nearly every budget, but keep a close eye on delivery fees as they can add up quickly for larger stuffies.

2. Petsies

Petsies

Petsies is a US-based business that focuses on creating custom pet gifts such as bobbleheads, ornaments, pillows, clothing, and blankets. Their stuffed animals are by far one of their most popular and impressive offerings. These handmade stuffies are personalized to mimic the likeness of their customer’s pets. They come in three sizes (10 inches, 16 inches, and 24 inches) and are made from premium polyester furs. Each stuffed animal is airbrushed to match the real dog as closely as possible.

One thing I particularly like about Petsies versus some of the other companies is that they can make custom plushies of nearly any animal species, from dogs to pigs to birds and even rats. This is awesome for multi-species households, as once you get one Petsie, you’ll want one for every animal in your home.

Petsies’ turnaround time is much faster than some of the other customized options we’re reviewing today, usually no more than ten weeks.

3. Cuddle Clones

Cuddle Clones

Cuddle Clones, as you might guess from the company name, focuses predominantly on creating plush stuffed animal versions of your animals. However, like Petsies, they have a massively expansive catalog of other custom pet-related goodies, including socks, blankets, bobbleheads, magnets, and pajamas, so their site is definitely worth checking out.

Their stuffies are handcrafted by artisans and extremely true to life. They’re made with high-quality plush faux fur, so they’re actually snuggle-able. The final size of your Cuddle Clone is determined by the type of pet and their breed. Dogs are typically in the 11 to 24-inch range, though it is unfortunate you cannot select the size you prefer. You can even add an optional zipper pouch to your stuffie for your beloved pet’s ashes for an additional charge.

Cuddle Clones has a great money-back guarantee. If your clone doesn’t capture your pet’s unique charm, you can offer a free alteration within 30 days of receiving your stuffie. If you don’t wish to have an alteration, you can request a full refund (minus the cost of shipping) within 30 days of delivery.

4. Plush-A-Pet

Plush-A-Pet

Plush-A-Pet is another company that specializes in making a clone of your pet. You will need to first choose your dog’s breed from a list of over 35 popular breeds, including Beagles, Bulldogs, Dachshunds, and Poodles. Once selected, you’ll be asked to upload images of your pet. The company warns that they do try to make their creations match as closely as possible, but they cannot guarantee it will be an exact replica. They encourage consumers to reach out to them before buying to confirm that the company will be able to match the consumer’s vision.

5. VioShvorakCreations on Etsy

VioShvorakCreations

VioShvorakCreations is an Etsy seller specializing in creating realistic stuffed dogs and cats. They have a collection of ready-to-ship dog stuffies and do appear to accept custom orders, though it is unclear if they will make a replica of your pet. The seller uses materials like faux fur, clay, polymer, acrylic paints, silicone, wool, and leather to bring their creations to life. Make sure you watch the video they’ve included in their listings as they demonstrate the life-like qualities of their stuffies, including poseable paws and jaws.

6. DollToysWorldShop on Etsy

DollToysWorldShop

Don’t be alarmed by your first glance at the DollToysWorldShop on Etsy. Yes, they have some eerily realistic dolls on their main page, but they also create extremely true-to-life dog stuffed animals; you just need to use the search term “dog” on their catalog to filter out their creepy (yet still massively impressive) doll collection. The seller doesn’t appear to take custom orders, but you may find the breed of dog you’re looking for in their collection. They have Pugs, Shih Tzus, Dachshunds, Sharpeis, Bull Terriers, and Chihuahuas, amongst many others. The seller uses materials such as mohair, wool, silicone, polyester, oil paints, and steel granules to craft their realistic dog creations.

7. TwoFeltedFox on Etsy

TwoFeltedFox

Though the creations from TwoFeltedFox aren’t necessarily “stuffed animals” by definition, we felt our blog wouldn’t be complete without including them. These stunning needle-felted pieces of art are created to be miniature replicas of your beloved pet. They are on the pricier side, but you can tell the creators really put their heart and soul into their products. Their turnaround time is approximately 18 to 20 weeks at the time of writing, so your felted pup will definitely take some time to arrive at your door, but the wait appears to be worth it. The shop has nearly 14,000 reviews, most of which are five stars.

8. HollyHOME

HollyHOME

This hyper-realistic Bichon Frise is an adorable stuffed animal made with luxurious plush materials and a cuddly polyester fill. It has airbrushing accents and an expressive face that adds to its realism. However, the way this stuffie is shipped can really distort its appearance. You may need to do some work to fluff it out when it arrives.

9. Melissa & Doug

Melissa & Doug

Melissa & Doug is one of the best-known children’s toy manufacturers of our time. Their giant, life-sized German Shepherd stuffie is one of their best stuffed animal offerings. The plush has life-like features and a cuddly coat made for snuggling.

10. CU-MATE

CU-MATE

If you’re searching for a realistic Poodle stuffed animal, Amazon seller CU-MATE has you covered. This stuffy’s expressive eyes and plaited ears are what sells it to us. It is 12 inches long, so it is pretty similar in size to a Toy Poodle, too. It doesn’t stand on its own as the product images would have you believe, but it is still an adorable and realistic option.

This seller also has other breeds, like Pomeranians and Maltese, but their Poodle stuffie is by far the most life-like.

Final Thoughts

Finding the perfect dog stuffed animals that look real isn’t easy, especially when shopping online, as you can’t see or hold the product in your hand. If you’re searching for a stuffed animal that looks like a clone of your pet, we recommend opting for one of the custom-made designs above, such as Petsies, Cuddle Clone, or one of the sellers from Etsy. These sellers and manufacturers go above and beyond to create the perfect keepsake piece made after your pet’s likeness. If having an exact replica isn’t as important, or if your budget is small, something from Hansa Creations or Amazon might be more in line with your style.
