Have you been looking for a better way to train your canine companion? If so, you may want to invest in a treat dispenser of some kind, like the Pet Tutor Mini Feeder. This dispenser can help you train your dog in everything from agility to crate training. However, it isn’t only useful for training! It can also be used as a slow feeder or even for playtime.

Created by Smart Animal Training, LLC, this feeder is easy to use and has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability, so you can use it for your pet even when you aren’t home. It is on the smaller side, though, so it may not be the best for large dogs. It is also a bit more expensive than similar products.

Uses

The best thing about the Pet Tutor Mini Feeder is all the ways it can be used.

First and foremost, this product is a training device. You can set the feeder up to work automatically or control it with a smart remote or your phone. Set the mini feeder to give your pup a treat whenever they go to their place or exhibit calm behavior. Or use the mini feeder to help your pet learn to stay or during agility training. The possibilities are endless!

If you’re looking for a feeder, not a trainer, the Pet Tutor Mini Feeder works for that, too. This mini-feeder only holds about a cup (which should be small kibble or treats), but you can set it up to dispense your dog’s food at mealtime. This feeder is a slow feeder, so it can help immensely with pups who gobble down their food.

Finally, you can use this mini feeder during playtime! Have the feeder drop treats for your pup to chase around and collect to provide extra enrichment to their day.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Capability

It seems that the older version of this product didn’t have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability, but those were highly requested, so this mini feeder does come with those things. With the use of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, you can trigger the feeder from basically anywhere worldwide. Plus, if you’re within 30 to 50 feet of the feeder but don’t have Wi-Fi, you can still trigger it to dispense food or treats.

Ways to Set Up

The Pet Tutor Mini Feeder is designed to be used in a variety of places from inside the home to outside it, so it comes with various ways to set it up for use. With the crate mount, the feeder can be mounted to your pup’s crate, while the floor stand allows you to set the feeder up on the floor without worrying about it being wobbly. Plus, the mini feeder is incredibly light, so you can even mount it on a wall or elsewhere using command strips!

Cost

One of the less pleasant aspects of the Pet Tutor Mini Feeder is the price tag. This feeder is fairly expensive, especially considering the feeder isn’t much larger than a water bottle. Part of the expense is due to the fact you get to choose either the crate mount or floor stand to go with the feeder, but the cost of this feeder may leave some people wary.

Recall History

We could not locate any product recalls for the Pet Tutor Mini Feeder or any other products made by the same company.Dogster divider_v3_NEW_MAY_24_

Overall, it seems people were fans of the product. Some said it revolutionized the way they trained their pups, while others claimed it was a fantastic use of positive reinforcement in their training. Pet owners also liked the fact that this feeder was less likely to jam than other feeders.

Conclusion

Whether you are looking to up your training game with your four legged friend, invest in a slow feeder, or just provide more enrichment for your dog, the Pet Tutor Mini Feeder has you covered. This feeder can do all these things, and because the product has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability, you can even use it when you’re away from your pup. However, the cost of this feeder is on the higher side, so be aware of that.
