Our Experience

Nandog Super Cloud Pillow Bed Review - top view of Micah sleeping

My dog, Micah, loves to snuggle. Ever since he was a puppy, he’d curl up in my lap and go out of his way to find the coziest spot in the house. Whether he’s on the couch, on my bed, or on his bed, he’ll bury himself beneath blankets and pillows until he’s all tucked in. So when I saw Nandog’s Super Cloud Pillow Bed, I was excited for Micah to try it out.

The bed arrived in a standard cardboard box, and the minute I unboxed it, I knew Micah was going to love it. The bed feels exactly like Nandog describes it–cloud-like, plushy, and ultra-soft. The exterior fabric is fluffy, and the interior filling is like sleeping on a bed of feathers; it’s that comfy. Micah thought so too.

Within seconds of me pulling the bed out of the box, he was lying on it, curled up in a ball and fast asleep. Even though Nandog offers a 100-day trial, Micah only needed a few minutes to decide this was the best pillow ever. And honestly, I’d have to agree. Not only is the bed extremely comfortable, but it looks great in the house, and it’s low maintenance.

Having a bigger dog, I try to keep Micah’s accessories contained. But it never fails that his stuff ends up scattered throughout the house (his bed is now the centerpiece of my living room). Because of this, I like when his accessories look nice. With Nandog’s Pillow Bed, I don’t have to worry about where I put it because it has such a classic, modern design that looks nice anywhere. The grey is a slightly different shade from the image online, but it’s still a great neutral color that matches with anything.

The bed also has a removable and machine-washable cover, which is something I find invaluable in a dog bed. I’ve gotten to the point where I won’t buy a bed for Micah unless it has a removable cover because the hassle of spot cleaning isn’t worth it, and the convenience of removing a cover and throwing it in the wash is priceless.

Micah has made this his daybed – where throughout the day he uses it as a napping spot and a landing pad when he wants somewhere comfy to hang out.

As far as sizing goes, the bed is a great size for Micah. Micah is a 54 lb Standard Goldendoode and he fits perfectly in the center of the bed when his legs are tucked in. His legs hang off the side if he sprawls out, but that doesn’t seem to bother him. I also wouldn’t get a larger size even if they had one. Nandog doesn’t have a size guide on their website, but their dog model is a 68 lb Samoyed, and I probably wouldn’t recommend the bed for a dog much larger than that, since it might be a little small.

Key Features

Nandog Super Cloud Pillow Bed Review - unzippering cover

Ultra-Soft

This bed is the definition of comfort. Named for its cloud-like feel, the Super Cloud Pillow Bed is made with ultra-plush fabric to give your dog a luxurious place to sleep. The exterior surface is soft and plushy to keep your dog comfy while they rest, and the interior cushion provides your pup with the perfect balance of softness and support.

While the bed is made for dogs of all ages, the filling is designed to support joints and muscles, making it ideal for senior pups and dogs with joint issues.

Low Maintenance

One of the best things about the bed is the removable cover. Nothing beats the convenience of having an easy-to-clean dog bed, and this one makes it simple by having a machine-washable and removable exterior. If the bed gets dirty or it’s time to be washed, all you need to do is unzip the cover and throw it in the wash for a quick and easy clean. For best results, machine wash with cold water and tumble dry on low.

Sophisticated Design

When you have a large dog, it’s easy for their accessories to take over your living space (and even become part of your living room décor), which is why having a classy bed that looks nice with your furniture is a huge plus.

I love the Pillow Bed because it has a clean, simple design that looks nice in every room of my house. This isn’t a bed I’m discreetly hiding behind the couch or shoving in a closet when guests come over, and it even complements my living room furniture.

Is the Super Cloud Pillow Bed a Good Value?

The bed is a good value. The price is mid-range when looking at similar pillow beds, but many of the beds I saw aren’t plushy or soft. A lot of them don’t have removable covers either, which is a dealbreaker for me. I love this bed for its classy look, pillowy feel, and low-maintenance design, and I found the price to be reasonable. While there are cheaper options out there, this one stands out for its ultra-soft feel and modern design.

How We Tested

After taking the bed out of the box, I let Micah check it out before putting it in my living room. Once it was there, Micah curled up on it and was out like a light. Ever since then, he’s been all over it. He’s pawed at it, chewed a bone on it, and has taken several long naps on it. While Micah prefers sleeping on his bolstered bed at night, he likes hanging out on this one during the day.

Since the bed has a machine-washable cover, I threw the cover in the wash to see how it would hold up. There’s a zipper on the side that lets you easily take out the filling, and once it’s removed, you can wash the fuzzy exterior. After washing and drying the cover, it came out perfect.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the 100 Night and Day Sleep Trail?

Nandog wants your dog to love their bed, which is why they offer a 100-Night and Day Sleep Trial. During this trial period, your dog can test out the bed to see if they like it. If they don’t love it, no problem! Nandog offers free shipping and returns during the trial period with no questions asked.

Does the bed come in different sizes?

The Super Cloud Pillow Bed only comes in one size (40” x 30”).

Is the bed durable?

For the most part, I’d say the bed is durable. The seams are double-stitched, and it’s made with a thick material to ensure the bed is long-lasting. That being said, the bed is designed to be soft and plushy, not indestructible, so that’s important to keep in mind if durability is a deal-breaking factor for you.

What other products does Nandog have for dogs?

Nandog offers a variety of pet essentials and accessories for your furry friend, including:

  • Beds
  • Car seats
  • Leashes and harnesses
