The 6 Labrador Retriever Breeders in Kentucky

1. Kentucky Labs

  • Bowling Green, KY

While Kentucky Labs might not produce the lowest-priced Labrador Retrievers around, they’re all American Kennel Club (AKC) registered and come with a 2-year health guarantee. The breeder also offers breeding rights for an additional fee.

They have multiple breeding couples, giving customers a wide array of color options to choose from. Pricing does vary by color, and they’ll deliver up to 2 hours from Bowling Green for a fee.

High-quality purebred Labrador Retrievers are exactly what you get with Kentucky Labs.

2. West Ky Labs

  • Drakesboro, KY

West Ky Labs offers AKC registered puppies at a low price. But while they might be able to work as hunting do or general farm dogs, that’s not what West Ky Labs specializes in.

They’re more interested in producing gorgeous and friendly family dogs, and they do a great job doing it. You can also purchase breeding rights.

3. Grandview Labradors

  • Columbia, KY

While Grandview Labradors might not be the biggest dog breeder out there, that doesn’t mean they don’t produce high-quality Labrador Retrievers. They’re all AKC registered dogs, and they’re available for a great price.

Grandview Labradors only offers a 7-day health guarantee, but you’ll be supporting a smaller local breeder, which has its own perks.

4. Lincoln Park Labs

While Springfield, Kentucky, is the home to Lincoln Park Labs, one of the most notable features they offer is that they’ll fly their puppies all over the country for delivery via Delta Airlines. Just keep in mind that you should still visit the breeder in person before sending any money!

Lincoln Park Labs also offers a 30-month guarantee for hip dysplasia. All their Labs are AKC registered and get health clearances before breeding. They’re a slightly more expensive option, but it’s all about the health guarantees.

5. RCM Labradors

  • Bloomfield, KY

RCM Labradors is a family-run breeder founded in Bloomfield, Kentucky in 1995. They are currently located in Sellersburg, Indiana (roughly 10 miles north of Louisville, KY). They deliver for free up to 2 hours from their facility, and they’ll deliver farther than that for an additional fee. All their pups come with an AKC registration, are litter-trained, and have a health guarantee.

Their pricing is a mix between low- and high-end, making them a great mix of price and quality. Their litter-trained puppies are a great way to help crack down on accidents early on. Over time, you can remove the litter box, and your pup will go outside like other dogs.

6. Bourbon Country Retrievers

If you’re looking for Labrador Retrievers with a hunting lineage, the pups from Bourbon Country Retrievers are what you are looking for. While they don’t have the most Labrador Retrievers available and you’ll likely need to spend some time on a waiting list, their pedigree and quality make them worth the wait.

Since Bourbon Country Retrievers is in Central Kentucky (Lexington), they are accessible to anyone in the state! All their pups come with a 30-day comprehensive health guarantee, a 26-month guarantee for retinal dysplasia, and a 26-month warranty for hip dysplasia.
